I know I know this goes against everything I am but the dream sometimes roots it's ugly head. Weeks like this one make it happen...and it truly seems like the grass might be greener on the stay at home side of the fence.
This morning my youngest was still asleep after the girls were sent off to school. He's become quite a good sleeper when he wants to be. I had to wake him up to get him ready for daycare. Here's what I imagine my day would've looked like if I didn't have to do that today.
7:30am: quiet breakfast with coffee. Alone. On the patio.
8am: sweet boy wakes up happy and ready to entertain me with his cuteness.
8:30am: I serve him a hot fresh breakfast.
9am: I dress him for the day while playing tickle monster.
9:15am we play cars in the living room floor.
9:30am: we go outside for a walk, play with bikes, search for bugs, ahhhh sunshine!!
11am: lunch with my little guy. We make a yummy homemade pizza and I throw a load I wash in the laundry
11:30am: clean up and read a book & switch laundry
11:45am: play outside some more
12:30: nap! I nap with him!!!!!
2:30: yesssss a 2 hour nap!!!!! Wake up and rush around to go pick up the girls.
2:45: take the kids to the park and have a snack
4:00: come home and begin preparing for dinner
4:15: read a book to little one while girls do homework.
5:30: make dinner, another load of laundry while girls play with brother
6:30: eat dinner with my kids!!!
And then you know the rest...our typical nighttime routine of baths at 730/8 and bed at 830/9
What a nice day that would be...
Oh the dreams.
